I haven't painted any papers lately--something I really enjoy doing. It all started with these 2 pieces--
I was painting the backgrounds on these 2 canvases, and then I collaged the fruit made from text pages--and I really liked the colors, but I wanted to do more collage--so instead of looking for pre-made papers--I decided to make my own.
.....these things are addictive--I love painting little 'pictures' on them even though I end up cutting them into bits and pieces. They really add to the piece that you're making because they're unique to your art piece--can't really say that about scrapbook papers.
So here's what I did with just part of them--
And I still have more....
Not only do these add to your art--they're a great way of trying out new techniques, much in the way you would do with an art journal page.
But all of this art-making is going to have to be put on hold for a week---I'm taking a little vacation--I'm going to Disneyworld!!!

These are great, love the colour combos and how each of the pieces turned out. And that box is wonderful!
Sooooo beautiful artwork.
Have a nice weekend
I love your painted paper. When I did mine I used spray ink but forgot to dry it between layers so of course I ended up with a very lovely shade of brown! Your's are what I wanted but not what I got. But you are right, it is fun and we learn as we go.
Amazing Diane...loads of gorgeous creations...that box is superb!

Wow is what I have to say! I found your blog from a pin on pinterest and I love everything you are creating. I can feel power and confidence in your work. I'm hoping to get there too. You've got me thinking of my materials in new ways, so thank you!
