I'm So Excited!!--I'm Published!!

In  the  magazine  that inspired  me  the  most  when  I  first  started  out  in  the  world  of  mixed  media--Somerset  Studio!!!


When  I  first  discovered  this  magazine  5 years ago---I  would  never  even  have   imagined  of  submitting  any  of  my  art,  but  since  I  started  blogging,  I  feel  that  my  art  has  grown  so  much,  and  I  figured--why  not?   And   just  look  what  happened!!



This submission  was  in  response  to  their  Classics  challenge--I  chose  The  Secret  Garden--the  wonderful  children's  book--if  you're  familiar  with  the  story,  you  can  see  that  it's  just  meant  to  be  in  a  piece  of  art.

This  makes  me  so  happy!!  And  after  the  last  few  weeks  that  I've  been  through--this  is  exactly  what  I  needed!!!

    Congratulations! Your illustration certainly deserves publication. It is just perfect; the little girl looks exactly like I've always imagined Sara Crewe, the heroine of another of this author's books would have looked. You and I most have loved the same books!
