I've blogged about this topic before--art journals--I don't really art journal that much---I start, and then I move on, but I do love the freedom of art journaling--making art just for the sake of making it. And here's where my painted papers come in--
......like I've said before--these are my 'art journal pages'.....except they don't end up in a journal---they end up in my art--
...my owl re--visited from my last post--on this cupboard door--
....mostly what I used on the 'frame' of the door were just those 4 painted papers, and I had some scraps left over for 2 more art pieces--
They sure do go a long way!
And some more random 'art journaling' on canvas again--
You know sometimes I can't believe how lucky I am to call this my 'job'--I love what I do!!
Your art is always so gorgeous!! Love the handles on them too.....

ReplyDeleteI love your papers Diane. They really make the art so beautiful. I'm learning to use my Gelli plate and its not that easy.
ReplyDeleteI don't do a lot of art journaling now, though it's how I got painting in mixed media and abstracts. I think it's because I find the release I need in creating my art as you do in yours. Whatever works, right!
ReplyDeleteI am always so surprised at how your creations turn out!!! I just love what you create Diane!!! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteThat mock whipped topping made me want to put my finger right in it...haha!
