Okay so at the end of this week I'm off for my final show of the season, and I have to say that I'll be glad--I am burnt out!! I had to make one more angel though--
And I had one more chair left, and that's where I put her--
But.... I also made her into a piece of wall art--
With an up-cycled $1.00 frame that I spray-painted copper. A very easy peasy with a lemon squeezy!
And remember my first angel that started it all that I showed you here? Well, she was meant to go here--
I love my little group of angels that I'm taking with me!
So what about the pink flamingo? Well on Kathy's blog Kluless, she mentioned that she loved flamingos and that she had a collection of them. I like flamingos too, but I don't really collect them, but I do have a couple, and one in particular that I bought years ago at a craft fair that I wanted to show her. I really like it. So Kathy--here's my favorite pink flamingo (although it's a bit faded with age)
I just can't get over how beautiful and wonderfully original these all are, I can't image you will come back home with any of them! They are all going to sell. They are going to add so much to the ambience of people's homes.
ReplyDeleteYour angel art is gorgeous!! I'll be very surprised if they don't sell.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a sweet flamingo!
So Lovely and Sweet! Beautiful work D and wishing you LOTs of success on your upcoming show with hopefully...a few naps after:)
ReplyDeleteLove your work, that chair is stunning!!
ReplyDeleteI also love that flamingo you own, my 6 year old daughter is a HUGE fan of flamingo's although she has always called them "flingo's" lol ;)

Your newest angel is absolutely beautiful, and I love how you've place her on the chair! Wishing you a successful show, ... and then plenty of time to rest.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous, your work should all find new homes, I wish you much success. Your angels are beautiful and I love the box, so original.
ReplyDeleteSoooo Beautiful! Good luck at your show.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning Diane. I love everything you make. The chair, the box, the wall art ... everything is amazing! I am sure your show is going to be a great success!
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable angels (and I absolutely love that flamingo - when my son was little he called them 'bingos'). I've been buying old frames to upcycle too. I wanted to put my art in, but almost all are completely the wrong size. Still, at least I have the perfect excuse to make more art!
ReplyDeleteOh, my. Absolutely breathtaking. I love that chair. Just fabulous.
ReplyDeleteKathy
Gorgeous chair--and your flamingo is so cute! Here's to a well deserved rest!!
ReplyDeleteI love pink flamingo's. Your angels are really beautiful and I'm sure they'll go fast. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI know you are so glad your shows are almost over for the year. Also, aren't you pleased that they were up this season. Hope the last one is the best. Great angels.
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love the chair.....Your talent just keeps on going like the energizer bunny.
ReplyDeleteDon't burn out yet...I want to see more! I love the angel box!
ReplyDeleteX
Last lap! I remember, back in the days we did the holiday bazzaars, that we would be so anxious for the season to start and then soooo happy to see it finished for the year! Time for some well-deserved rest.
ReplyDeleteI love your flamingo with the little legs dangling over the edge of the shelf!!
They all look wonderful and very much in the holiday spirit! It is good to have the shows over & done with so you can focus on yourself and your family's celebrations over the next six weeks with no other obligations intruding. Good luck with your show (although I can't imagine you'll need it--nothing you do requires luck for it to sell!).
ReplyDeleteYour angels are so beautiful. I'm glad that chair is all decorated like that because I'd have an awfully hard time sitting in it what with that beautiful angel peering up from the seat. :)

ReplyDeleteFaboulous work.I instantly fall in love with the box with angel. I can't stop look at it. Great work!
ReplyDeleteEven the mind gets tired, and not just tired from the art work, from the thoughts of what will the people want, how will they respond and do they want things for all year or more Holiday things, and it seems I revisited it in my head a lot.
ReplyDeleteYou have wonderful things I know if I saw them at a sale I would be wanting, the artwork and the colors are so good, so right, and I know you have a mix of today and yesterday in your variety.
So in a few days you will be able to put your thoughts to what is just in your head to paint and create because you want to.
it will be a good fair, people are starting to really feel the hype of the season and want things.
I spent some time at the San Diego Zoo this summer with the Flamingo's..they are so amazing...what a wonder! And yours is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteLovely angels! I love how you created them. I hope the show goes well & then you catch up on your rest. Have a lovely & creative week. ~Theresa
