Before I start this post--holy cow!! Thank you all for your overwhelming response on my last post--just icing on the cake. I love blogland!! Someone had made a comment that it was full circle for me, which is so true. I was coming off of a very sad week, and this lifted my spirits so much!
...so...on to the post....
...so...on to the post....
Okay, so the color is pink at Kristin's Summer of Color, and it couldn't have come at a better time. When I saw last Monday that the color for this week was pink, I was working on another piece that just wasn't looking very good to me, and I thought...hmmmm...how about some pink? So this piece isn't completely pink, but pink is what dominates it. I started first by adding the pink touches--
I love this lady---I use here a lot!
And then after that, came the embellishments--
...with these very cool Tim Holtz embellies....
So you're probably wondering what the completed piece actually is--it's a mirror!
....and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. It's going with me to my art fair which is in less than 2 weeks...no make that 3 weeks. (I'm glad that I just discovered that I have an extra week!) These mirrors have proven to be very popular when I take them with me. So thank you Kristin!! This was the perfect prompt for me.
And make sure to see all of the Summer of Color entries over at Kristin's place. And remember...you can join in too!
