I know I'm not the only one looking for different ways to use older art in different ways. I'll look back at art of mine from the last couple of years and feel that it needs to come out into the world again. But I just don't want to make prints of them--I always want them to be a bit different from their original way. And if you read my blog, than you pretty much know this.
So...this time, this is what I decided to do...
I happened to see these frames at Michaels--they're about 8 inches square, and where you put your image in is about 4 inches--so I had an idea.
I took snippets from my art from 2 different pieces (I had 2 frames)--
......and then I took the mats that the frames came with and coordinated them with each image--
..and my finished pieces--
These were so fun to do, that I did 2 more--
...and yeah---I'm working on 2 more right now---now--I have to find more frames!
What a great idea. I love what you did with your 'old' art...both are beautiful and extraordinary.

ReplyDeleteYou have such an eye...I know I've said this before, but it's true!
ReplyDeleteI recently tried printing some of my older works on old dictionary pages as you've done to see what I could do with them. Answer....nothing....haha!
Those pages deliver wonderful color....but, I don't know, I just couldn't wrap my head around the text behind my images...and I usually love that in a piece....haha!
Thank you, as always, for the inspiration! I love that you are always keeping yourself so busy with creative energy and ideas! :)
Hugs,
Cameron
