I was finally able to make a couple of more pieces for Etsy this week. So do you remember the Gypsy girl that I showed you a couple of weeks ago on this post? I had put her in my Etsy shop, and within 24 hours she had already found a home, which was very cool, so I decided to do somethine else with her--a box--
I had made a box very very similar to this one last November, and it was one of my favorites, and I knew that she would be perfect for this.
I'm really happy with the outcome of this gypsy girl box!!
And then remember my very first journal page that I did with the Pam Carriker Strathmore workshop? You can see it HERE--actually, it's on the same post that my Gypsy girl's on. Well, this is my favorite journal page that I've done so far, so I had to do something with her too. I had a little fun with her--
I made a collage out of her like I did with these pieces--
Lots of fun to do this, and the possibilities are endless.
They are all ready and waiting for a new home, and you can go to my Etsy shop to find out more about them!
P. S. I am loving Americn Idol this year!!

ReplyDeleteWell done on your quick sale too! x
I enjoyed the original post on how that Gypsy Girl came to be....she evolved from trial, error, perseverence.....but mostly from just your love of creating!
ReplyDelete...and how we love that you love creating :)
I think you have some wonderful work here. I didn't think I would like Idol without Simon. I liked Ellen but understood why she wasn't back. That Kara person I won't miss..but I do like the Jaylo, and Steve Tyler ,Randy panel. I am not sure that there are some superstar singers yet.Guess we will see what shakes out!
ReplyDeleteSo inspiring, I love the way you use your own art to create new art. Beautiful !
ReplyDeleteYour little box is now a treasure of art. Fabulous! Happy Hearts to you...
ReplyDeleteI like the stand for the box and the sides so much.
ReplyDeleteIdol. I am tired of the audtions, the early ones. I wish they'd show us more of the good singers and fewer of the duds. I get heart broken when I see someone freeze or get dumped after they did so well initially. Hard to see the tears. I worry that Randy is becoming a Simon! But I am a faithful viewer nonetheless.
Yes what they said! :) Gorgeous, you are very creative. Lovin your work! I can't get a thing to sell on etsy...xoxo
ReplyDeleteoh! a magical box, endless delight, a place to put treasures to be held quite tight ~
