Okay--Baseball Nut--that's the color this week at Kristin's Summer of Color. So for those of you who don't know what kind this is (like me)--it's Baskin Robbins' vanilla ice cream with raspberry swirls and lots of cashews--sounds good to me!
So I started gathering up supplies from my art room--
.....some scrapbook papers, and paint, and some of my sketched faces printed out on sheet music....and more gathering.....
Actually when I took this photo, I was half-way finished with my pieces, and I had a plan in mind. I have to admit--I have a problem with supplies--I need everything that I see out there--I can't help myself--but on the other hand I never have a problem when it comes to looking for those special touches--because I have everything--so I guess that's a good thing....right??
All of these prompts helped me make these 2 pieces on 6 x6 canvases--
My Baseball Nut sundaes complete with the "cherries" on top...
....not as delicious as the actual ice cream--but a lot less fattening!
And make sure to head on over to Kristin's blog to see more yummy art.
And yes! I was published again! This time in Somerset Studio's latest issue due out in July.
Big smile on my face--this will NEVER get old!!

This is a really really lovely way to celebrate Baseball Nut. You had less trouble with the colors than I. Guess it's because you always have so many supplies you can use to add that very special touch. These are so well done. I like how you added the cherries on top (grin). So, so creative.
