Even though....

I've  changed  my  color  palette  for  the  time  being,  I  definitely  have  been  sticking  with  my  style....

I  really  enjoy  making  this  grid  type  of  art  ,  and...

....hunting  for  those  perfect  little  embellishments--some  new,  some  old.   Especially...

when  I'm  working  on  a  larger  surface--not  so  intimidating.   This  is  on  a  pine  wood  board  that  I  purchased  at  Lowe's  (home  improvement  store  here  in  the  U.S.).   It  was  originally  36"  long  but  I  cut  it  (well  my  husband did)  down  to  a  more  manageable  16 x 20 size,  and  I  still have  the  rest  of  it  left  for  another  piece.  The  whole  board  was  under  $20--good  deal!

And  I  also  enjoy  the  whimsy--

on  one  of  my  found  cupboard  doors--

And  yes,  I  also  enjoy  coffee!!

These  2  pieces  are  going  with  me  in  less  than  2  weeks  for  my  last  art  show  of  the  year,  and  I'll  finally  have  some  time  to  attend  my  online  classes  that  I've  signed  up  for  and  play!

The "grids", as you call them, are intriguing. The longer I look, the more I see. That cupboard door you found for the coffee piece is perfect. Love that shape!

I love both of these pieces Diane, and the grid look is really great! I have been out of town for a while, and have had some craziness going on my life right now, so I haven't really "played" in a while with the classes either! I hope to soon. Take care my friend!

Hi Diane, your grid art piece looks fantastic!! That is a great idea of working on the wood like that instead of canvas. I love your coffee cupboard door, too!

I love these...especially the coffee cupboard. Amazing. I love the colors you use too. Definitely very appealing. Those are typically the colors I use when I quilt. Something very homey and soothing about them. These (like everything you do) are absolutely divine. :) Happiest Thanksgiving to you! :)
