Dreaming The Same Dream

Do  any  of  you  do  that?--have  recurring  dreams?   I  don't,  but  I'll  dream  about  the  same  thing,  but  in  different  ways.   There  are  these  same  situations  or  subjects   that  I'll  dream  about,  but the  dreams  are  always  different.  And  they're  very  random,  and  if  I  told  you  what  they  were  about,  you'd  be  thinking that  I'm  a  very  strange person,  so  I'll  keep  it  to  myself    : )

But,  when  I  think  of  it,  it's  another  way  that  I  make  my  art  too.   I'll  re-use  my  artwork,  but  never  in  the  same  way.    I  make  prints,  but  I  always  go  farther  with  the  prints  and  "dream"  a  bit  different  from  the  originals.....

And  I've  never  had  a  dream  where  the  different  topics  that  I dream  about  will combine  together  to  make  a whole  new  dream.....but  I  can  do  that  in  my  art  life--

...bits  and  pieces of  my  art   coming  together  for  a  whole  new  piece....

And  one  final  note  on  the  subject  of dreams  and  then  I  promise  I'll  stop  talking  about  them.    Two  weeks  ago  my  daughter  was  married,  but  not  in  your  traditional  way.   You  see,  this  is  her  2nd  marriage.....but...it's  her  new  husband's  (my  new  son-in-law  :)  first  one.    She  didn't  want  the  regular  over  the  top  wedding--she  already  did  that,  and  believe  me,  I  very  happily  agreed  with  her.   But  her  husband  did  (well--actually  it  was  his  family  that  did,  but  very  understandable).     So...they  compromised--she  had  her  dream  wedding   in  Jamaica--

(Tony  and  Lisa--aren't  they  a  beautiful  couple?!)

.....and  this  coming  Saturday,  they're  having  their  wedding  reception  here  in  town.   So,  it's  going  to  be  a  very  busy  week  around  here.   They're  trying  to  keep  it  very  casual  and  stress-free,  but  you  know  how  that  is  when  it  comes  to  weddings.    Let's  just  say  that  I'll  be  glad  when  everything's  over  and  done  with,   and  they  can  settle  down  into  their  new  life!

Tony and Lisa are a beautiful couple. Congratulations! What a fun and busy time you'll be having this weekend. Hope the weather is good for you.

I like the way you are able to incorporate components of your dreams into beautiful, appealing artwork. I'd probably have a real challenge doing that with my dreams!!!

Congratulations to the whole family...what a beautiful photo of them. Hope the reception goes well.

Love ALL your art pieces...and not I don't dream the same dreams...I wish I remembered my dreams more.

Recently I started a piece of art using a copy of one of my drawings and I am thinking I may do more pieces with the same drawing if this one turns out.

Beautiful work Diane! I love how you reuse your work. It's great because we can love it all over again! You know they say that our dreams are problems we are trying to work out in our head and that even if they make no sense to us our subconscious makes use of the lessons learned. Pretty cool. The only recurring dreams I have had were nightmares and I am glad that I don't have them anymore...knock on wood! Your daughter is beautiful and I wish her and her handsome husband a wonderful, happy life together :)

What a beautiful wedding picture Diane - they look so in love :)

I have the same theme to dreams a lot too. I keep dreaming that I'm packing up to come home from university but I've accumulated so much stuff and I don't have boxes enough to pack it all in!

Beautiful couple! And yes, that wedding sounds like a dream to me too! Good luck on trying not to stress out, I never succeed at that, lol.
AND I LOVE your new visions or dreams - and the work that comes out of them. You are always an inspiration (maybe that's why you dream, as a vehicle for new inspirations - for yourself and others?!)
HAVE FUN this weekend, xoxo!

What a wonderful couple they look and so romantic. I love dreams they are very telling of what we are trying to process. If you see the objects which stay the same for you in the dreams as parts of you I wonder what you get.I hope it is not too strange :)

Your daughter is GORGEOUS. I bet the wedding was fantastic, too. What a compromise!

As for your art, I love the house and that watering can is over the top. Your art is simply "DREAMY." Sorry, couldn't resist.

I apologize for not checking in sooner. I've been busy cleaning and sprucing up my house and yard. It takes its toll, too.
