Remember my canvas that I started here--well I finished it--
I said that I had a plan for it, and this was the plan. I wanted to paint some faces (2 this time), but I always get a little nervous when I want to do these girls, because I'm still fairly new at it. I just love creating them though-- they always seem to tell me how to finish the piece.
Now, my 2 new classes--well Suzi's is starting next week--it's the continuing Goddess and Poet class--
PIETY & PASSION (love it!). And I was thinking of taking the graffiti art class with Traci Bautista, but I'm putting it on the back burner for now. Julie Prichard and Chris Cozen are starting a new one April 1--Complex Collage. She just put the video up on her website on Friday (click on her name). As soon as I saw what this class was all about, I knew that it was for me. Everything that they talk about on what they will be teaching is exactly what I want to do.
So next week, after I come back from my show, I'm hoping to be a little richer : ) and I will be signing up for these 2--I'll probably be poorer, but I'm still signing up.

They are wonderful. Both girsl are so pretty and I love what you did with the background.
This is an amazing piece. It has so many rich layers in addition to your gorgeous faces. In MY OPINION, you could be teaching a class on faces. Your "girls" simply blew me away. I don't know why you were nervous. You do such good work, you have nothing to be nervous about. And, with art like that going into your show, you should be worlds richer next week.
These two girls are so beautiful. The background is wonderful and I love their hair. Love the text and the colors and...everything!!! I want to do those two classes too. I have Chris Cozen's books and they are great.
Diane my dear, chuck those nerves, please!!!! :)
This piece is fabulous and the girls are beautiful!!!!!!

Gorgeous canvas Dianne, your girls came out beautiful! I love the text in the corner. I'm still undecided about both classes!
This is very artfully arranged, the text just right with those pretty faces and great colors.
Doing a class or classes and having a show really keeps the artistic ideas flowing. I always enjoy coming by to visit.
Diane, this painting is just STUNNING! I can't believe how beautiful it is - I hit the enlarge button so I could see all the amazing details - from the hidden faces in the flowers, the scroll work on their cheeks, and the hidden text. Just so lovely...you did a tremendous job!!! Theresa :)
Diane, your canvasses are so wonderful. I love how the writing goes across her face, so pretty! BTW, I have tagged you. Go here to find out why...

Oh, I meant to ask you...did you just paint their faces over the blue background?

This turned out wonderful! I meant to comment on it a while back.
I thought about taking the second Goddess and Poets class but I always seem to get side tracked in the middle of the classes.
