So for today, I'm showing another face that I just did with hard chalk pastels--another one from my Misty Mawn class--
This week's lesson was all about pastels and different ways of using them. I've used pastels in my art before but never exclusively--I like them in that they're a very forgiving medium, but also that makes them a little frustrating, because if you're not careful you can mess up parts that you like by smudging--so they're not my favorite thing to work with.....but....they give you a great result.
I like her, and I think I'm going to do something more with her. This is on a sheet of watercolor paper--so I have ideas in mind--if they work out, she'll be back--we'll see.
And remember, if you want to know more about the 29 faces challenge, start HERE, and you can click on the Feb. 2013 tab there to see all of the participants and the links to their blogs--and you can be one of them! (You can start anytime!)
